World Materials Perspectives Summit

During the "World Materials Perspectives Summit" to be held in Nancy (France), 30-31 March 2011, about 300 key executives and leading researchers from all over the world will have the opportunity to meet and exchange on their needs and experience, and draw the roadmap of materials requirements to meet energy challenges for the decade to come. WMP is not a scientific summit, nor a business match-making event, but the place where industry and research, problems and ideas will meet, resulting in new concepts and solutions.

WMP will be organized in dedicated working groups in a dynamic way, so as to foster exchanges between participants. It is also our ambition that the Summit will serve as a milestone in strategic materials thinking with the publication of a comprehensive congress report. We used to name among us the concept of WMP, in a somewhat immodest way, as the "Davos of Materials". We are convinced the subject deserves it. Already a number of distinguished speakers from large industrial companies in the fields of materials and energy, national and international agencies, and renowned researchers have accepted to chair dedicated sessions, to sponsor or to participate.
