Domestic workers accompanying their employers to France must, prior to applying for a Schengen visa, obtain a temporary work permit from the competent French Authorities (art. Church Members going to France to visit a religious congregation must provide, in lieu of the Certificate of Board and Lodging, this form, downloadable here,completed and signed by their host. This document will need to be produced when entering France.
South African Temporary passports are no longer recognised by the French authorities.

Booking an appointment is free of charge on our website. The French Consulate condemns companies that charge visa nationals for this service. We therefore reserve the right of cancelling those appointments.
The visa administrative fees CANNOT be paid by using PAYPAL.
Original documents and photocopies are requested.
Please note that photocopies cannot be made at the Consulate.
Visa Nationals whose applications are submitted to consultation (see ’Do you need a visa…’ page) must also provide photocopies of their travel document as well as a self-addressed stamped envelope to be informed of the outcome of their visa applications.
