If you have already been taxed in France, you will receive your tax return at the end of April or beginning of May.

If you want to download a form (2042), you will be able to do so from the beginning of May on www.impots.gouv.fr.

Your tax retrun must be sent back at the latest on Monday, June 30th 2008.

Tax Attaché’s Department: Role

1. The department is responsible for the mutual exchange of information on tax matters between France, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland under bilateral conventions and European directives.

2. It also carries out comparative analyses of government administration and tax legislation.

3. The department answers simple queries on tax legislation in the three countries.

4. The Internet site provides information for the general public, including useful addresses and a comprehensive FAQ section.
