Professor Brézin has been elected Foreign Member of the Royal Society 06. Edouard Brézin is the Professor of Physics at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Ecole Normale Supérieure) in Paris and President of the French Academy of Sciences (since 30th November 2004). He has made profound contributions to statistical physics and field theory. In the last decade he has served tirelessly and with distinction as a scientific leader at the highest levels in France, promoting thoughtful, forward-looking policies.
