Visit by Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the Republic, to the United States of America – Communiqué issued by the Presidency of the Republic

President Sarkozy will travel to Washington on 30 March at the invitation of the US President, Mr Barack Obama, who proposed receiving him for a meeting followed by a joint press conference and a private dinner for the two presidential couples.
Before that, President Sarkozy will be in New York meeting representatives from the financial world and American press. In Washington, he will also meet political figures.
President Sarkozy is particularly delighted by this forthcoming official visit, which will be the first to take place in a bilateral framework since the State visit of November 2007./.
