President Hollande inaugurates new French lycée named after Churchill, ahead of talks with UK Prime Minister David Cameron

President François Hollande has officially inaugurated the new Lycée Winston Churchill in Wembley, London, in the presence of the Ambassador.

He was greeted by headteacher Mireille Rabaté and Arnaud Vaissié, Chair of the Board of Trustees.

The President then addressed students, teachers and guests in a packed school gymnasium before unveiling a special plaque for the occasion.

He was treated to renditions of La Marseillaise and God Save The Queen by some of the school’s pupils.

The President then departed for a meeting with UK Prime Minister David Cameron at his official countryside retreat of Chequers.
