This service is not available to applications for long stay visas, Central African Republic, Djibouti, Mauritania or Togo visas, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion Island, Guyana, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, St. Pierre and Miquelon or Mayotte visas and to Diplomatic, Official and Special passports holders.
You may however use this service even if your passport is submitted to consultation.
You do not need to make an appointment if you are applying for your visa via our postal department.

Delay:
Any application received less than 3 weeks prior to the travel date will not be processed. Your application will be sent back to you without the visa.
Do not contact the Visa Section to confirm receipt of your application: this can be done via the Royal Mail.

Documents requested + photocopies:
The French Consulate insists on the photocopies of the documents to be included with the application.
1. You need to send the originals of all the documents requested, including your passport, according to your status and the visa you require. Photocopies only will not be accepted. Please do not staple the documents together.
You must send your original documents and the photocopies in 2 separate transparent folders.
2. The payment of the visa application fee, either by:
credit card by filling the authorisation of payment per bank card form. If the cardholder is not the visa applicant, please supply copy of passport and proof of address of the cardholder;
Or by Postal Orders.
3. A self-addressed pre-paid special delivery envelope for the safe return of your documents.
Other:
Incomplete applications will not be dealt with.
The Visa Section reserves the right to ask a visa applicant to come to the Consulate to apply for his visa.
