Outsourcing of the collection of visas application.
In order to improve the standard of service to the visas applicants, the French authorities have decided to outsource the information of visa applicants and the collection of visas application to the company TLScontact. This service is available regardless of the nationality, the type of passport, the duration and the purpose of the stay of the visa applicant.
People who have already booked an appointment at the Consulate, are not concerned by this new procedure.

As per October the 1st, visas applicants will have to apply at the TLScontact visas centre located :
Exhibition house, Addison Bridge Place, London W14 8XP
From October the 1st onwards, the visa section of the French Consulate General will be closed to the public.
The services offered by TLScontact are :
very short delays to get an appointment : the Consulate will ensure that appointments are available within few days;
a customised service for each applicant;
a personalised assistance to help put together a complete file to the Consulate;
other services : you’ll be able to know in real time when your file has been processed and you’ll be informed by email and by sms as soon as your passport is ready for collection at the TLScontact center.
Please note that this new service will be charged by TLScontact in addition of the normal visa fee. People who do not wish to use this service have to call for a specific appointment at this number: 0845 7300 118.
