Jean-Yves Le Gall appointed President of the IAF
Jean-Yves Le Gall, currently the President of the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), the French space agency, has been appointed Incoming President of the International Astronautical Federation last 16th October. He will take up his new position in September 2016.

Born in 1959, Jean-Yves Le Gall trained as engineer at the École Supérieure d’Optique and holds a doctorate from Université Paris-Sud. He dedicated his entire career to the European space programme and held positions within the French national scientific research agency CNRS, several French ministries, Novespace, Starsem, Arianespace and CNES.
