In 2006 France attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) worth €88.4 billion, according to an UN (UNCTAD) report.
She is one of the three top countries for FDI, with the United States (177) and the United Kingdom (169). Behind her come China (70), Italy (30), Russia (29) and Germany (8.1).
FDI in France has increased by nearly 40% in one year, confirming that the French economy is becoming increasingly investment friendly. The United Kingdom saw her FDI rise by 3.2%.
