France condemns murders of Doctors Without Borders workers
South Sudan/murder of two Doctors Without Borders humanitarian workers – Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development Spokesman
Paris, 26 August 2015
France condemns the murder of two Doctors Without Borders employees in South Sudan and extends its condolences to the victims’ families.
Full light must be shed on this heinous act, the perpetrators of which must be brought before the courts.
In a context marked by an ever-deteriorating humanitarian situation in the country, it is unacceptable that humanitarian actors continue to be targeted by deliberate attacks and that their work continues to be hampered.
France reaffirms its commitment to respect for international humanitarian law as well as to the work of humanitarian actors and their protection under all circumstances./.
