France utterly condemns the attacks perpetrated today, 26 February 2010, in central Kabul which, according to the latest report, killed 10 and injured at least 32.
Once again, the terrorists have just demonstrated their scant regard for human life, brutally targeting civilians on Mawlid day.
Our embassy is in touch with our compatriots on the ground. Sadly, I can confirm the death of a Frenchman staying in Kabul.
France extends her condolences to the families and close friends of those killed in the attacks and, in these tragic circumstances, wishes to assure the Afghan authorities of her wholehearted solidarity and her determination to remain engaged at their side in the fight against terrorism and effort to get Afghanistan back on her feet./.
