Situation in Sudan – Communiqué issued by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

France strongly condemns the armed attack on the Sudanese capital. No circumstances can justify such actions. This grave attack shows the urgency of resolving the crisis in Darfur and the destabilizing nature of the lack of progress in this respect.

France calls for the speeding-up of the deployment of UNAMID, resumption of political dialogue and implementation of the agreements contributing to easing tension in the region./.
