Democratic Republic of Congo/attack perpetrated against MONUSCO – Statement by the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry Spokesman

France utterly condemns last night’s attack in Kirumba against the camp belonging to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO).
Three Indian soldiers were hacked to death and three others injured. This crime must not go unpunished and everything must be done to detain those responsible and bring them to justice.
In this tragic ordeal, we express our wholehearted solidarity to the Indian authorities and extend our condolences to the bereaved and MONUSCO’s personnel./.
