Chad – Release of Laurent Maurice – Communiqué issued by the Presidency of the Republic

President Sarkozy is delighted at the release of our compatriot Laurent Maurice, kidnapped in Chad on 9 November 2009 while working for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The Head of State wants to thank all those who helped bring about his release.
All the other French humanitarian workers kidnapped in Africa are also particularly in the President’s thoughts, and he calls for their release as quickly as possible./.
