Foreign and European Affairs Minister Bernard Kouchner had a meeting with his new Armenian counterpart, Mr Edward Nalbandian, on Monday, 5 May. Mr Nalbandian was in Paris on his first visit as Foreign Minister.
The meeting, held in the context of the trustful ties between our two countries, afforded an opportunity for the two ministers to discuss the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh on the eve of the meeting organized on the sidelines of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg by the co-chairs of the Minsk Group which the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are attending. They also discussed the various aspects of our bilateral relations and relations between Armenia and Turkey.
M. Kouchner recalled that France, co-chair of the Minsk Group tasked with finding a lasting solution to the complex problem of Nagorno-Karabakh, is committed to helping in the resolution of this question./.
