Baroness Helena Kennedy honoured by France

On Wednesday, 5 April, the French Ambassador presented the insignia of Commandeur de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques - a decoration awarded for services to education, the arts or science - to Baroness Helena Kennedy at a reception held in the Résidence de France. A distinguished criminal law specialist, journalist and politician, Baroness Kennedy has always fought for justice, equality and human rights. She was chair of the British Council from 1998 to 2004. Baroness Kennedy has written many books including "Eve was framed" and "Just law". She is a member of the Universal Academy of Cultures.
