Arrest of Radovan Karadzic – Communiqué issued by the Presidency of the Republic

President Sarkozy was extremely satisfied to learn of the arrest of Radovan Karadzic, charged with genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

This long-awaited arrest clearly demonstrates the new Belgrade government’s determination to bring Serbia closer to the European Union by contributing to the peace and stability of the Balkans./.
