Army Attaché

Army Attaché

The Army Attaché represents the Chief of the General Staff of the French Army in the United Kingdom. The Army Attaché’s office is responsible for contacts between the French and British Armies, liaising with his British counterparts (official visits, the two armies’ policies and priorities, coordinating the action of the French Army liaison officers, exchanges and exercises, etc.). He is the contact point for French officers on courses in the United Kingdom.

The Army Attaché at the French Embassy in London is also non-resident defence attaché for the Republic of Ireland. In this framework, he acts as the interface between the French and Irish authorities whenever necessary.
