Ambassador visits Northern Ireland
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and Health Minister Simon Hamilton among those who met with Sylvie Bermann in Northern Ireland
Ambassador Bermann paid a visit to Northern Ireland from 30 June to 2 July where she met dignitaries from the world of academia, law and politics, including Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, Health Minister Simon Hamilton and various members of the local assembly.
She visited Queen’s University, which has in-depth cooperation with French university and research bodies, as well as the civic society organization Make it Work. She also took a tour of the world famous Titanic Museum in Belfast.
On the final day of her trip, the Ambassador visited the Michelin tire factory in Ballymena, which employs more than 1,000 people; the Wrightbus factory in Antrim which, thanks to its partnership with London United, supplies buses to RATP Développement; and Thales plant, named as the most technological defence company in Northern Ireland.
